The School of Arts and Communication is part of the multidisciplinary Faculty of Culture and Society. Also known by its acronym K3 (after the Swedish name Konst, kultur och kommunikation), our school has approximately 80 faculty members and 1,000 full-time students. At K3, we combine traditional scholarship and academic knowledge with artistic methods and practical skills. In our teaching and research, art, technology, design and communication converge in new and innovative ways.
Research at K3 spans various disciplines, from design and information technology to media studies and cultural studies. Much of our research is conducted as part of the profile New media, public spheres and forms of expression (read more here). Current projects concern everything from co-design and interaction technologies to social media, comics and issues of culture and class. Our research is frequently carried out in collaboration with external stakeholders. Read more about K3 here.
