Technical Manager to Omya
We are looking for a key function within our organization that will be responsible for all technical aspect, both improvements and investments projects as well as administrative issues cooperating with local authorities, consultants and group functions. This requires in depth knowledge of our internal organization and structure in order to coordinate our efforts and measures securing that complex investment projects meet budget and fulfill deadlines. In return this requires a long initiation phase to obtain the required knowledge, experience and internal relations that will achieve desired results. Hence we are planning the succession of the current position in good time and you will have the chance to work in parallel for an extensive period.
Your responsibilities and tasks includes:
- Investment planning and calculations for Swedish plants related to internal processes to request funds, budgets etc.
- Collecting plant requests for investment budget and translate into investement forecast.
- Performer of designated investment and project items.
- Coordinate investment related actions such as procurement with Purchase department.
- Prepare authorization requests to proceed with investments, ensuring that these are then performed in accordance with the milestones and cost targets.
- Inform about relevant QSHE production issues prior to decision making.
- Inform Sales about relevant QSHE customer issues prior to decision making.
As an organization there are constantly multiple investment projects that needs to be executed efficiently. Thus we are looking for a highly professional candidate, able to work in a very structured manner even under high pressure. You are expected to provide adequate information to many stakeholders, maintain a close collaboration with our plant managers and securing smooth, constant and relevant communication throughout the organization.
We believe that you hold a Master of Science preferably Mechanical Engineer or equivalent degree, have a minimum of ten years of professional experience with a solid experience of leading technical projects. We are looking for a person that is devoted to a long term engagement, eager to gain extensive knowledge of complex investment management and the ability to continuous develop in a solid yet very dynamic environment. The Technical Manager needs to work with an holistic approach to operations in Sweden with extensive travelling, additionally you will cooperate with European Operations department.
The position is based out of Omya’s office in Malmö or in Glanshammar and you will report to Director Operations North Europe with a dotted line to Head of Operations Italy & Dry Plants Scandinavia.
